We are delighted to have been asked to investigate the world’s longest pleasure pier; Southend Pier.

This will be the first ever paranormal investigation of the pier & we are inviting you to join us!

The pier is a Grade II listed structure that dates back to 1830 & has suffered many tragedies over the years, including several fires, suicides, boat crashes & severe storms.
An electric tramway first opened on the pier back in 1890 transporting visitors 1.3 miles to the end of the pier & back. Trains have been running along the pier ever since apart from a brief break during the 1970’s & 1980’s.

The pier has had number of mysterious sightings over the years including a man in a long coat who was chased by a policeman back in 1992 only to disappear. Other incidents included a lady in black climbing some stairs that were actually demolished back in 2004. This sight reportedly sent workmen running in fear.

Southend is a well-known seaside town & has been welcoming visitors from London & surrounding areas since the 19th Century. The Pier continues to attract visitors & Had record breaking numbers visit on the August bank holiday weekend of this year.
