Southend Pier Ghost Hunt

We are delighted to have been asked to carry out the first ever ghost hunt on the world’s longest pleasure pier: Southend Pier!

This Grade II listed structure has been the backbone of Southend since 1830 & continues to attract tourists to the area. On the recent August bank holiday weekend, record numbers of visitors walked the pier. The Pier’s popularity continues!

There have been many stories over the years of hauntings & it is of no real surprise as the Pier has suffered many tragedies over the years.

We are looking forward to investigating the pier & its’ hauntings. It is great timing that we will be hosting our event the weekend before Halloween & we hope you can join us!

Back to Cressing Temple for more investigating

We are excited to announce that we will be back at Cressing Temple Barn with more events in 2020!

The two events we did in February & June 2019 were very successful with good activity throughout the buildings.

We are looking forward to investigating the house further along with the old courthouse where we had great results.

Tickets will be on sale shortly.

New event: Finchingfield Guildhall

We are excited to be investigating the Finchingfield Guildhall in September!

We will be there on the 21st September to run a 4 hour event which includes a psychic walk through the graveyard in the grounds of the Guildhall.

Fright Nights Essex will have our medium, Steven Thompson on hand to tell us what he picks up on before we split into smaller groups to investigate the Guildhall further.

The village of Finchingfield has a history of witches & ghosts so we can’t wait to see what happens.

Tickets are now on sale

The Kursaal Re-opens

After a fantastic event at the Kursaal last month, we are keen to get back there & investigate this iconic venue further. After we held our event, the Kursaal sadly closed but we are pleased to announce it has now fully re-opened & we will be back there soon with another event.

We will keep you posted with the new date as soon as we have it.

Cressing Temple Barn – launch night

We had a great night at our launch night at Cressing Temple Barn on 9th February 2019.

We had full access to the farmhouse, the two barns, the stables & the granary on the night where we had activity in most of the locations!

The group of attendees really got involved and took part in activities such as glass divination & table tipping. We also managed to pick up some voices on recordings!

We will be back at Cressing Temple Barn on 29th June. Tickets are now on sale

Happy New Year

Happy New Year from all the team at Fright Nights Essex!

We are  launching next month with our first event at Cressing Temple Barn.

We also have events booked at the Kursaal & Harwich Redoubt Fort with more locations coming soon.

Here at Fright Nights Essex our aim is to provide a genuine & insightful investigation at each location, as we have successfully done with our events for Fright Nights London.

Our events are structured so that participants investigate a venue with us using various methods including specialised equipment used to communicate with spirits, activities such as table tipping, glass divination & our medium Steven Thompson with his expertise. Nothing is ever staged or fake, you can be sure that whatever is experienced at events with Fright Nights Essex is 100% real.

The big launch!

Hi everyone!

Fright Nights Essex is finally launching in February 2019 with 2 brand new & exclusive locations!

We have been running a successful franchise in London for 3 years & have been doing paranormal investigations for many years before that.

We hope to see people on our events & if you have any questions, please get in touch we are more than happy to talk you through anything.

A Big Welcome from Head Office

We want to wish Fright Nights Essex the very best in running the newest independent Franchise to the Fright Nights family. Formerly a part of Cambridge & East Anglia it will officially change hands in January 2019.

We know that Kerry and Steve are going to be a perfect fit to the company in Essex as they have already built and run the successful London Franchise area. We hope this will give our guests more choice of locations to investigate over on the East side of Britain.

We would also like to thank Gemma Snow for all the hard work she has already put in to running events in Essex and wish her all the best in her expansion into Norfolk & Suffolk and Beds & Herts. (New Franchises coming soon, along with Fright Nights South Wales) Even more locations for you to choose from!

Good luck everyone.

Lynda and Mark
